GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Six Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse players have been named All-Conference Carolinas, the league announced today. Voting was conducted among the league' eight head coaches.
Nate Lorenzo,
Mikey Sweigart,
Ben Johnson and
Christian Tomei were selected to the first team, while
Jack Clough and
Alex Garcia are members of the second team.
Lorenzo led the Crusaders in goals (31) and points (42), while Sweigart stood second in both, 25 and 30 respectively. Johnson, a defender, forced 13 turnovers, while grabbing 30 ground balls. Tomei posted a 7-2 record in goal with a 7.80 goals-against average.
Belmont Abbey, the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament, takes on No. 3 Mount Olive in Friday's second semifinal. Start time is set for 1:45 p.m.
