GREENVILLE, S.C. – Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse players
Austin Hasen and
Thomas Sullivan were named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively as part of the Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse all-conference honors that were released Wednesday by the league office. The all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.
Hasen was named the Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Crusaders with 40 goals in 2022. A junior from Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Hasen finished the regular season fifth in points per game (4.08) and fourth in goals per game (3.08). He led the Crusaders with 53 points on 40 goals and 13 assists with 11 ground balls. Hasen is the first Belmont Abbey student-athlete to win the honor outright while three others were Co-Offensive Players of the Year.
