ROCK HILL, S.C. – Belmont Abbey's Isabella Hite and Sarah Schumacher swept the WePlayed Sports Field Hockey Players of the Week for games played during Week Three of the 2026 season. The awards are the first of the season for the Crusaders.

Belmont Abbey swept the weekly awards, with Isabella Hite named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Sarah Schumacher brought home Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Hite, a senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., was named Offensive Player of the Week, tallying her first career hat trick in the week's only action, a 4-0 win over Coker. She took four shots overall, with three on goal and also converted a penalty shot.

A senior from Cologne, Germany, Schumacher was named Defensive Player of the Week. She keyed a defense that posted its first shutout of the season, 4-0 at Coker with the Crusaders limiting the Cobras to just three shots total, and one on goal. Schumacher added a defensive save and also assisted on the second goal of the game.
