HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Isabella Hite scored her first career hat trick and the Belmont Abbey defense held Coker to just three shots, leading to a 4-0 win over the Cobra in South Atlantic Conference field hockey action Saturday afternoon. The win was the first in four outings this season for the Crusaders, who also evened their league record at 1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hite opened the scoring 8:22 in the game, then added her second just 30 second before end of the first quarter.
• The lead increased to 3-0 midway through the second on a goal by Sophie Neville.
• Hite capped the scoring six minutes into the second half.
• Lily Willard and Annmarie Mullen split time in goals, each recording a save in 30 minutes of play.
• Sarah Schumacher and Kelly Dopazo recorded defensive saves.
• Belmont Abbey held a 15-3 advantage in shot, including 11-2 on goal.
