BELMONT, N.C. — Joe Whitaker and Caleb Burr continued to add to their respective postseason accolades as the recent graduates received All-America honors from D2 Baseball this week. Whitaker was named a first-team selection while Burr earned second team honors.

Both were named All-Americans from the ABCA last week and have also received All-America honors from the NCBWA.

Whitaker finished the 2026 with a .413 average and started all 54 games for Belmont Abbey this season. He finished with 24 home runs and drove in 89 runs to set new career high totals and lead the team. He was a first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection and earned spots on the All-Region teams from the ABCA, NCBWA and D2CCA.

Burr led the team in batting average with a .426 mark on the season as he finished with 20 home runs and 69 runs batted in. He also finished 18 of 19 in stolen bases this season and 1.360 OPS. He was also a first-team All-Conference Selection and earned spots on the All-Region teams from the ABCA and NCBWA.

The two Crusaders were a part of nine student-athletes from Conference Carolinas to receive honors.
