GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey junior goalkeeper
Eddie Kielkopf was named the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday.
Kielkopf was big in a pair of Belmont Abbey wins last week, making 11 saves on 60 shots faced. He started with six saves in a 9-8 win over North Greenville before making five saves in a win over Barton. He added five ground balls in the win over the Trailblazers.
The Crusaders play at Emmanuel on Wednesday in the final game before the Easter break. The opening faceoff is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
