Women’s Tennis Has Three Named CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Three Belmont Abbey women's tennis student-athletes have earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC) last week by the organization.

Frankee Hendricks, Alexis Burkhalter and Elizabeth Vollmin all earned spots on the team. Hendricks is making her third appeareance on the team while Burkhalter and Vollmin earned spots for the second straight year.

Hendricks was one of 360 graduates who earned her degree on Saturday as part of Belmont Abbey's largest class in school history. She earned her B.A. in sport management and was a first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection this season. She earned a 7-2 record in Conference Carolinas play this past season.

Vollmin also earned her degree during commencement on Saturday, also earning a degree in sport management. She earned 12 wins in doubles this season for the Crusaders, who advanced to the Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinals.

Burkhalter completed her junior season and has a 3.52 grade point average as a sport management major. She was a perfect 9-0 in Conference Carolinas play in singles and earned 12 wins in doubles play over the course of the year.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3, 2025.
