GREENVILLE, S.C. —The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team had three student-athletes earn all-conference honors as the Conference Carolinas league office announced the 2026 All-Conference teams Wednesday.
Alexis Burkhalter,
Kaitlin Nguyen and
Mackenzie McCarthy all earned spots on the team. Burkhalter was a first-team selection while Nguyen and McCarthy earned spots on the third team. All three are making their second appearances on the team.
Burkhalter is on the team for the second time in three years after putting together an outstanding season for the Abbey, finishing 8-3 in Conference Carolinas play in singles play and 9-2 in doubles play. She was also named the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week earlier this week.
Nguyen is back on the team for the second consecutive season after earning six wins in singles play over the regular season. She went 9-2 in conference play in doubles over the span of the regular season.
McCarthy is back on the team for the second time in three years. She was the regular starter at No. 1 doubles, finishing 7-4 in ConferenceCarolinas play. She also went 9-2 in the conference in singles play as well.
The all-conference awards were voted on by the head coaches within the league.
