GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team were tabbed fifth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll released by the league office Monday. The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Crusaders finished with 10 wins during the 2023 season and earned the No. 4 seed in the Conference Carolinas tournament last season.
Chowan was picked to win the Conference title this year followed by Converse, Young Harris and Francis Marion and the Abbey rounding out the top five.
Belmont Abbey opens the 2024 regular season with a neutral-site contest against USC Aiken on Thursday, September 5 in Salisbury, North Carolina. The first two rounds of the conference tournament will take place on campus sites at the higher seeds on November 7 and 10. The semifinals and championship, November 15 and 17, will be played at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
