GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Following the 2024 regular-season finale, Belmont Abbey's
Caleb Mulcahy has been named the final Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today. The senior from South Lyon, Mich., took the honor for the third straight time and fifth in the last seven weeks.
Mulcahy won 20-of-23 faceoffs and picked up 20 ground balls in a 20-11 win at Chowan.
As the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament, the Crusaders have a bye into the semifinals Friday at 7 p.m. in Wilson, N.C. The opponent will be the winner of Tuesday's match between third-seeded North Greenville and No. 6 Young Harris.
