GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey's Ella Schellenberg has been named the Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Week for the period of October 9-15, the league office announced today.

A junior setter from Jacksonville, Fla., Schellenberg averaged 11.14 assists and 3.14 digs per set in two league wins last week. 

In a four-set win over Barton on Friday, she finished the match with 40 assists and 12 digs, then ended a sweep of Chowan with 38 assists and 10 digs. The double doubles were her fourth and fifth of the season, respectively. 

Schellenberg is currently seventh in Conference Carolinas in conference matches with 8.13 assists per set.

This week, the Crusaders hit the road for matches at King Wednesday and Mount Olive Saturday.
