BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team took the series from North Greenville as The Abbey won game one Saturday 9-8. North Greenville captured the last game of the series as NGU improves to 17-5-1 with a 7-2 Conference Carolinas record. Belmont Abbey improves to 11-12 and is now 8-4 in league play.

Game One

• Belmont Abbey jumped out to an 8-1 lead after four innings.
• Adam Overcash, Mason Dodd, and Zach Aehlert all blasted home runs in the game.
• Abbey starter Jason White pitched four innings allowing six runs on eight hits, two walks while striking out five to earn the win.
• Dylan Smith recorded his first save with 1.2 innings of relief.

Game Two

• Ben Sneider and Ben Gobbel collected The Abbey's hits.
• Joe Cooney got the start for Belmont Abbey tossing the first inning.
• Cooney, Collin Andres, Trey Cruz, Nolan Wilson, and Ryan Giberson all tossed an inning and struck out one.
