GREENVILLE, TENN. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team captured their first win of the year as they split Sunday's doubleheader at Tusculum. The Crusaders Mason Dodd collected two hits in game one and Zach Aehlert went 3-for-4 in game two leading The Abbey to the 3-2 win. Belmont Abbey is now 1-6 on the year as Tusculum moves to 3-4.

Game One

• Ben Sneider added a hit to Dodd's pair for the three Belmont Abbey had in the contest.
• Jason White started for The Abbey throwing 4.2 innings allowing four hits, seven runs while striking out three.
• Trey Cruz, Collin Andres, David Rodriguez, and Christian Mracna finished the game on the hill combining for three strikeouts.

Game Two

• Ben Gobbel went 2-for-3 including a double in the first that allowed Dodd to score, giving The Abbey the lead.
• Tusculum answered with two runs before Gobbel tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth.
• Aehlert doubled in Sneider in the fifth to give The Abbey the lead.
• Charlie Cochran started on the hill for Belmont Abbey throwing three innings allowing three hits while striking out two.
• Mitchell Keener earned his first win of the year pitching two innings, not allowing a hit and striking out two.
• Austin Hunter picked up the save with his two innings of relief./
