BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team collected six hits scoring four runs against Carson-Newman Tuesday night. The Crusaders are now 0-4 on the season as the Eagles improve to 4-0.

Highlights

• Ryan Giberson pitched four innings for The Abbey allowing nine hits, five runs, and one walk while striking out four.
• Sean Johnson reached base all five at-bats walking four times and striking a base hit in the game.
• Adam Overcash drove in two runs in the contest.
• Ben Gobbel and Johnson also recorded RBIs.
• Austin Hunter and Dylan Smith each threw two innings in relief with Hunter striking out three and Smith fanning two.
