CENTRAL, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team exploded for 35 runs on 27 hits during Saturday's doubleheader at Southern Wesleyan. The Crusaders completed the sweep of the Warriors and improved to 9-10 with a 6-. Conference Carolinas record. SWU is not 6-11 with a 0-6 league record. Mason Dodd had seven hits across the two games including eight RBIs and three home runs.

Game One

• The Abbey scored eight runs in the first inning.
• The Crusaders scored 16 runs on 13 hits.
• Adam Overcash went 3-for-5 with three RBI.
• Dodd was 3-for-5 with five RBI.
• Ben Gobbel and Dodd both left the yard in the seventh inning.
• Jason White picked up his second win of the year, tossing six innings allowing four runs on four hits, four walks and struck out eight.

Game Two

• The Abbey scored seven runs in the first inning.
• Belmont Abbey scored 19 runs on 14 hits in the series finale.
• Dodd went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two home runs.
• Sean Johnson, Kale Rhame, and Michael Hoes all collected two hits.
• Johnson and Rhame both also drove in three runs apiece.
• Joe Cooney recorded his first win pitching three innings, allowing five runs on five hits, two walks, and five strikeouts.
