CENTRAL, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team captured a 6-3 win in the opening game of the Conference Carolinas series at Southern Wesleyan Friday. The Crusaders tallied 10 hits in the game scoring four runs in the third. Belmont Abbey improves to 7-10 on the year and 4-3 IN conference play. SWU is now 6-9 overall with a 0-4 league record.

• Griffin Baker earned his first win of the year tossing seven innings allowing just four two runs on four hits, two walks while striking out five.
• Sean Johnson, Matty Bapst, and Adam Overcash all had two hits with Johnson and Overcash both driving in a pair.
• Zach Aehlert and Kale Rhame both recorded RBI's in the third inning.
