BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team shutout the Emmanuel Lions in the final game of the series. Charlie Cochran earned his first win of the season throwing 5.1 innings, allowing five hits while striking out three. The Crusaders outhit the Lions 11-5 in the finale as they move to 2-8 on the year with a 1-2 Conference Carolinas record. Emmanuel, who captured the first two games of the series, is now 3-6 with a 2-1 league record.

Game One

• Belmont Abbey recorded four hits in the game.
• Jason White pitched 5.1 innings allowing five hits and eight strikeouts.

Game Two

• The Abbey scored a run in the second, two in the third and fifth, and one in the sixth.
• Mason Dodd and Zach Aehlert both had two hits in the game.
• Aehlert also drove in two runs.
• Cochran earned the win with Christian Mracna, Collin Andres, and Ryan Giberson all throwing in relief.
