Box Score 2 FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team captured their first conference series of the year as they won game two Saturday night in extra innings. The Crusaders improve to 7-5 on the year with a 2-1 Conference Carolinas record. Emmanuel moves to 8-4 with a 1-2 league record.
Game One
Emmanuel 13, Belmont Abbey 6
Jakob Rolly led the Crusader offense going 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Mason Dodd tripled in a run in the first inning.
Richard DeLaCruz and Drew Sipp both recorded double.
Trey Cruz came on in relief and struck out two in 1.1 innings.
Game Two
Belmont Abbey 7, Emmanuel 6 (10 Innings)
Dodd led the Crusader offense with two hits including a home run in the 10th inning.
The Abbey scored four runs in the first on a Sneider single, a Ben Gobbel walk, Sipp's ground ball, and a wild pitch.
Crusader starter Sam High pitched eight innings striking out 11, allowing just two earned runs.
Parker MacPhail was credited with his first win in his inning of relief.
Jason White earned his first save of the year pitching the 10th inning.
