FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – The Belmont Abbey baseball team won their first Conference Carolinas game of the season as they defeated Emmanuel 12-5 Friday. The Crusaders improve to 6-4 on the year as Emmanuel moves to 7-3.

Highlights

The Abbey collected 10 hits in the contest led by Patrick Taylor's three knocks.

Ben Gobbel recorded two base hits along with an RBI.

Ben Sneider crushed a three-run home run in the sixth, his second of the year.

Jakob Rolly drove in two runs in the game, working two walks and scoring a run.

Griffin Baker earned his third win of the year pitching 6.0 innings and striking out nine.
