The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team fell at the sixth-ranked Pfeiffer Falcons by an 18-4 score this afternoon at Lefko Field. Pfeiffer improves to 12-0 overall and 4-0 in league play, while the Abbey drops to 5-6 overall and 2-1 in Conference Carolinas.

Lindsay Connolly led the Abbey with two goals and an assist, while Reese Gassie and Shannin Darley had one each. Rebecca Diggs had an assist.

Pfeiffer outshot the Abbey 39-19 and won 14 of 24 draw controls as the Falcons scored 12-straight goals after Connolly knotted the game at one with just 56 seconds gone by. Darley stopped the run with a goal at the 19:56 mark, which started a chain of the two teams exchanging goals, but Pfeiffer scored the final three goals of the contest to produce the winning margin of 18-4.

The Crusaders finished with four caused turnovers as Diggs, Alyssa Greco, Mackenzie Miller and Katy Connery all had one each.
