The Buccaneers struck early, scoring in the first inning when Yan Gomes singled to right field to bring in Danny Lima. The Crusaders tied it up in the third when Justin Vasquez singled to right field allowing Spencer Sobol crossed the plate.

Barry regained the lead for good in the fourth on an RBI single by Joel Keefe. Yudelmis Hernandez drew a bases-loaded walk, forcing in Keefe from third to give Barry a 3-1 lead. Danny Brion cut the lead to 3-2 on a pinch-hit solo homer in the fourth. That was all of the scoring until the top of the ninth when the Buccanneers scored on a sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 4-2. Down to its final two outs, the Abbey brought the tying run to the plate with two outs after a single by Justin Baxley, but Roland Rodriguez lined into a game-ending double play.
