Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer defeated Belmont-Abbey 11-2 Sunday afternoon in CVAC baseball action. The two teams split a double-header Saturday. Pfeiffer improves to 20-20 overall and 10-8 in the conference. Abbey stands at 26-15 and 14-7.

Abbey got on the board first when Josh Haire singled in Will Breslin in the second.

Pfeiffer came back with three runs in the bottom of the second. Ryan Brown and Daniel Brown each had RBI singles.

The Falcons grabbed two more runs in the fourth. Daniel Brown singled in Ryan Brown to give Pfeiffer a 4-1 lead. Bryan Braxton drove in D. Brown to build the lead to 5-1.

Belmont scored an unearned run in the top of the sixth to make the score 5-2.

Daniel Brown drove in his third run of the game with a Sac Fly in the bottom of the sixth and Ryan Harju scored on a wild pitch to give Pfeiffer a 7-2 advantage.

Zack Pou hit a solo home run in the seventh to give Pfeiffer a 8-2 lead.

Pfeiffer batted around in the eighth and scored three more runs as the Falcons opened the inning with five straight hits.

Nick Fogleman picked up the win for Pfeiffer allowing only one earned run over six innings. Chris Russell pitched three scoreless innings in relief. David Rue took the loss for Belmont.
