TEMPE, Ariz. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team finished with a No. 37 national ranking as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its Year-End Division II Rankings earlier this week.
The Crusaders put together a strong season by finishing the year as the Northwest Division champions and made it to the Conference Carolinas Tournament championship match. The Abbey also earned recognition from the ITA that included the Community Service Award as well as individual regional awards for
Leilany Sanchez (Most Improved Player) and
Molly Hencken (Assistant Coach of the Year)
Belmont Abbey is one of four Conference Carolinas schools to be represented in the ITA Top 50 to include Young Harris, Erskine and North Greenville.
