MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Miranda Anderson broke her own school record three times during the javelin competition Saturday, capturing the league championship on the final attempt of her career, to highlight Belmont Abbey's efforts on the final day of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

Anderson surpassed her previous best on the first, fifth and sixth attempts in the competition, becoming the first Belmont Abbey women to throw over 40 meters (40.87/134'-1").

As a team, the Crusaders finished fourth with 56.33 points, two ahead of Francis Marion.
