GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey attacker
Nate Lorenzo was named the Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week by the league office Monday.
In Belmont Abbey wins over Lander and Young Harris, Lorenzo accounted for 10 goals and four assists. He opened with four goals and one assist in a 15-13 win over Lander before adding six goals and three assists in a 24-6 win over the Mountain Lions.
Lorenzo is the second Crusader to earn player of the week after
Jake Tobin won Defensive Player of the Week during the opening week of the season. For the season, the junior leads the team with 35 goals and also has six assists to his credit. He is third in the conference in that category.
Belmont Abbey hosts North Greenville at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a rematch of last season's conference championship game.
