NEWPORT, Ky. -- Belmont Abbey rolled a three-game series total of 2865 pins, earning the No. 1 seed during the morning qualifying round of the 2025 Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Men's Bowling Championship, being held at SuperBowl Bellewood.

As the top seed, the Crusaders earned a first-round bye in bracket play and will take on the winner of No. 4 Walsh-No. 5 Barton on Saturday morning.

Between qualifying and bracket play, the Conference presented awards announced yesterday. It also presented the academic Excellence Award to junior Gavin Gucwa for having the highest GPA among competitors.
