MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Joshua Gulapa stands second overall at the halfway point of the decathlon and MIchael Bullock qualified for the finals of the 1500m run, highlighting the first day of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
Gulapa earned 3,308 points in the 100m Dash, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump and 400m Dash. The final five events are tomorrow.
Bullock posted the 11th-best time in the 1500m prelims. He had one of the best four times after the top four in each of the two heats automatically qualified.
Only seven teams scored points in the first two completed events, leading the Crusaders tied for 8th among the 16 teams.
