BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team earned its second straight Conference
Carolinas win in as many days as the Crusaders defeated Converse 4-3 Saturday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
Leilany Sanchez won in both singles and doubles play to lead the Crusaders while the Abbey swept in doubles. Along with Sanchez,
Alexis Burkhalter and
Mackenzie McCarthy all won in singles at Nos. 2, 4, and 5, respectively.
With Saturday's result, Belmont Abbey is now 8-4 overall and 2-0 in Conference Carolinas play. Converse is 2-6 overall and 1-1 in league play.
