ELON, N.C. -- Five Conference Carolinas-qualifying standards were met Friday as Belmont Abbey opened its 2026 women's outdoor track & field schedule at the Phoenix Invitational.

Elizabeth Young earned a spot in the league championship in the 1500 meters, while the other four came in field events. Cadence Lindsay and Ann Thierfelder qualified in the high jump, while Elizabeth Woodruff and Miranda Anderson met the minimums for the discus and javelin, respectively.

Belmont Abbey returns to action next week at the 49er Classic.
