GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis teams was picked to finish third in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll released by the league office on Friday. The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches and they can't vote for their own school.
The Crusaders earned 130 points and two first-place votes in the poll, just behind preseason co-favorites Lees-McRae and Erskine. Both teams earned 160 points in the poll with Lees-McRae earning seven place votes and Erskine getting the other five votes.
Belmont Abbey opens the spring season with a match at Queens on February 2.
The 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, April 22-Saturday, April 25 at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina.
