GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey acrobatics & tumbling team was selected to finish seventh in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll released by the league office Wednesday. The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches and they can't vote for their own school.
The Crusaders earned 34 points in the poll just behind Converse (35). Lander was tabbed as the preseason favorite with 75 points and five first-place votes followed by Coker with 68 points and a pair of first-place votes. Mars Hill (64 points, 1 first-place vote) and Wingate (63 points, 2 first-place votes) were third and fourth in the poll with Montevallo (49) rounding out the top five.
Belmont Abbey opens the season with a dual meet against King on Friday, February 13th at 6 p.m. inside the Wheeler Center.
The 2026 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship starts with quarterfinal meets on campus sites on Tuesday, April 7.
The semifinals will take place in the Shaw Athletic Center at Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia on Saturday, April 11. The championship concludes on Sunday, April 12 with the event finals and the championship meet in Franklin Springs.
