GREENVILLE, S.C. — Tia Fluellen and Sarah Brady are the two Belmont Abbey acrobatics & tumbling student-athletes named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference team that was unveiled by the league office Thursday morning.

Fluellen earned first team honors and is on the all-conference team for the first time while Brady earned a spot on the second team. It is the second straight year that Brady has been named to the all-conference team.

Fluellen competed in both Tumbling Heat 2 (Trio) and Tumbling Heat 4 (Aerial Pass) for the entirety of the season. She contributed to a season high of 8.45/8.75 in the Trio pass and a season high of 9.375/9.55 in the Aerial Pass. Tia also competed in Compulsory Tumbling the entire season, contributing to a season high score of 8.20/10.0. She also competed multiple tumbling passes in the team event with 4 running tumbling passes and 2 standing tumbling passes. She qualified for the Conference Carolinas Event Finals in both Trio and Aerial Pass this coming weekend. 

After missing all of preseason due to injury, Brady made a comeback and competed this season as a base and tumbler. In every competition, she competed in the Compulsory Pyramid, Inversion Pyramid, and Synchronized Pyramid heats. She competed in the Acro event throughout the entire season, making appearances in both the 5 Element Acro and 6 Element Acro heats. In over half of the competitions, she competed as the midlayer for the Open Pyramid, a Pike Bridge Pyramid, contributing to a season high of 9.85/10.0. Sarah also contributed to Tumbling Heat 3 (Quad) in all but 1 competition with a season high 7.20/8.00.
