BELMONT, N.C. — Seven home games and a pair of contests against Pennsylvania schools highlight the 2025 Belmont Abbey field hockey schedule, announced today by head coach Chelsea Herlocker. Herlocker is entering her fourth season leading the Crusaders.

The 16-game regular season slate with contests against PSAC schools Indiana (Pa.) and Shippensburg on Sept. 5 and 6th at the campus of IUP.

The Crusaders open the South Atlantic Conference and home slate on Tuesday, September 9th against defending regular season champion Newberry. The contest marks the beginning of a three-game homestand with games against Wingate (Sept. 17) and first-year program Barton (Sept. 20). The contest against Barton will also be Senior Day.

All home games will be played on campus at Alumni Field.

"We are eagerly awaiting the start of the 2025 season," Herlocker said. "We are thrilled to welcome Barton into the conference as it begins its first season as a program. The growth in the south has been encouraging and created a challenging conference, where you must bring your best on any given day."

The Abbey will play a modified 10-game conferences schedule among the eight teams competing this season. The Crusaders will host Lander on Friday, October 3rd to kick off Homecoming weekend while the October 11 contest against Lincoln Memorial is the Red Sea game.

The home schedule is capped off with an October 21st contest against Converse and the team ends the regular season with three straight road games, including a contest at Queens on October 24. The regular season ends with a contest at Newberry on October 31.

"Our theme this season is "All In"-all in on the field, in the classroom, and within our culture," Herlocker said. "The team has worked extremely hard in the offseason and with the addition of twelve new Crusaders, we are excited for what's to come in 2025."
