WOMEN'S 400m HURDLES PRELIMINARY RESULTS
PUEBLO, Colo. --Â The third time was the charm for Belmont Abbey's
Isabelle Flores in the 400m Hurdles race at the NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Thursday night. Competing at the event for the third straight year, the senior from Orange Park, Fla., took second place in the second of three heats, automatically earning a spot in Saturday's final. She ran a time of 1:00.02, placing eighth overall in the race.
Saturday's final takes place at 9:25 p.m. (ET). There are nine entrants in the final.
Flores became the first Belmont Abbey female to earn a spot in the NCAA Outdoor Championship as a sophomore, finishing 11th on this same track. A year ago, she repeated that standing in Emporia, Kan. Each 11th-place finish earned her second-team All-America honors.
