SNOW HILL, N.C. — Katie Cullen led the way for the Belmont Abbey women's golf team as she and the rest of the Crusaders opened play at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championships Sunday at Cutter Creek Golf Club.
Cullen opened the tournament with a five-over par 77 and is tied for 11th individually after the first 18 holes of the tournament. After starting with a 41 on the back nine, Cullen closed strong with an even-par 36 on the final nine holes.
Paeton Phillippi also shot an sub-80 round with a 79 while
Ella Wiklander shot 81.
Albany Bock and
Ashlan Tresca rounded out the five Crusaders with rounds of 87.
Belmont Abbey sits in ninth after the first 18 holes after opening with a 324. Mount Olive leads the tournament with a 311 followed by UNC Pembroke (313) and Barton (314).
