SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Ella Wiklander maintained her lead at the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship Monday as she shot a 1-over par 73 for the second round Monday at The Carolina Country Club.
The junior is even par overall for the tournament and is one shot ahead of Erskine's Lina Lindqvist, who also shot 73 on the day.
Wiklander was steady on Monday with two birdies compared to three bogeys. She is the only player in the field that is currently even par or better.
As a team, the Crusaders held their position from the first day by shooting a team score of 312 for a 618 total. Erskine leads with a 598 total followed by Emmanuel, who is third with a 631.
Katie Cullen is fifth after shooting a second round 76 and is 6-over par for the tournament.
Lilianna Carcel is just outside the Top 10 after shooting a 79. She closed her round strong by shooting 2-under in her final five holes.
Kellyn Arnold, who played Monday as a substitute, shot 84, while
Kate Nyers rounded out the team with an 87.
