Box Score 2 ROME, Ga. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team made the most of its two matches Saturday by earning a pair of 7-0 wins over Shorter and Berry College Saturday.
In the match against the Hawks, the Crusaders took all three doubles matches with two of them coming in 7-5 decisions.
Belmont Abbey had five of the six matches decided in straight sets with
Hanley Riner,
Mackenzie McCarthy,
Alexis Burkhalter and
Frankee Hendricks earning wins in both singles and doubles play.
Against Berry College, the Crusaders also took all nine matches over singles and doubles play with all of them earning wins in straight sets.
With Saturday's results, Belmont Abbey is now 12-16 overall and 4-2 in Conference Carolinas play.
