SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Belmont Abbey acrobatics & tumbling student-athlete Deanna Woolard was recognized as a member of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) All-Academic Sunday by the organization.

She is the first student-athlete in program history to receive a postseason award by the national organization. In order to be considered, student-athletes must compete and impact their team during meets and have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average at her current institution.

Woolard is one of eight student-athletes from across the country to earn the honor and was on-site at the NCATA National Championships Sunday to accept her award.

Additionally, Woolard was one of 18 Crusaders to be named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll where all members must also have a grade-point average of 3.30 or higher and be on their team's active roster.
