MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. --Â Elizabeth Woodruff became just the second Belmont Abbey female to earn all-conference honors in a throwing event with a third-place finish in the discus, highlighting Day Two of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Track & Field Championships.
Woodruff broke her own school record with a throw of 40.20m (131'-10") to claim third-team honors.
Elizabeth Young earned the same distinction by finishing third in the 3000m Steeplechase. Six Crusaders advanced out of preliminary running events and will compete for a spot on the podium tomorrow.
As a team, the Crusaders stand fourth among the 11 teams that have scored points after two days. The meet wraps up tomorrow.
