Box Score CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team began play at the Scenic City College Tennis Spring Break Showcase against No. 2 North Georgia Tuesday afternoon at the Champions Club Tennis Complex at Rivermont Park.

The Crusaders took the doubles point against the Nighthawks but fell 6-1 against the No. 2 team in the country.

Belmont Abbey won in No. 2 and 3 doubles with Elizabeth Vollmin and Leilany Sanchez earning a win along with Alexis Burkhalter and Paola Soccaras.

In singles play, two of the six matches were decided in the third set.

With Tuesday's results, Belmont Abbey is 6-10 on the season while North Georgia is now 9-4.
