MT. PLEASANT, S.C. — Katie Cullen led the way for the Belmont Abbey women's golf team as the Crusaders opened play at the Low Tide Intercollegiate Monday at Dunes West Golf & River Club.

Cullen put together a solid even-par round of 72 in her second round of the day to lead the way for the Abbey. She is tied for 10th after opening the tournament with a 79.

Ella Wiklander opened the tournament with a 1-over par 73 and is tied for 14th while Paeton Phillippi had an opening-round of 79 for the other round in the 70s for the Crusaders.

As a team, Belmont Abbey is in seventh place with host Limestone leading the tournament. Claudia Hastings of Limestone leads at 4-under par for the tournament.
