Box Score DUE WEST, S.C. -- Zack Puentes and
Matthew Staskunas both hit over .500 with 10 and nine kills, respectively, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-20) victory over Erskine in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Tuesday night.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 6-5 overall and 4-1 in league play. The Flying Fleet fall to 4-7, 0-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Puentes had just one error in 17 chances, while Staskunas went errorless in 18 tries. Both served a pair of aces.
- Joseph Morris dished out 25 assists, while adding three kills and two blocks.
- Puentes led the Crusaders in digs with six, while Staskunas and Caden Day had five each.
- Day finished the contest with five kills and a .400 hitting percentage, while Garrett Hockman tallied six kills while hitting .500.
- Jibriel Elhaddad had five blocks (two solo) and three kills.Â
- Belmont Abbey hit .403 as a team, the third time it has reached the .400 mark this season.
