ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Belmont Abbey women's golf team finished 13th in the LMU Spring Kickoff at the Golf Club of South Hampton, its opening tournament of the 2024-25 spring season.
 
The Crusaders posted their best round of the 54-hole tournament Tuesday, a 320 to finish the event at 972. Paeton Phillippi was the top scorer for The Abbey at 246 (42nd), while Ella Wiklander was just one stroke and one place behind after a final round of 77.  
 
Second-ranked Wingate won the tournament with a score of 876 (+12) with the Bulldogs' Jess Brown taking medalist honors (216).
