Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BELMONT and CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team competed in two matches Monday against Wingate and Johnson C. Smith.
 
The Crusaders dropped a 6-1 home match to the Bulldogs at the Reidy Tennis Center before earning a 6-1 win over the Golden Bulls.
 
Against the nationally-ranked Bulldogs, Paola Socarras and Alexis Burkhalter earned a win in No. 3 doubles while Mackenzie McCarthy won in No. 4 singles.
 
At JCSU, Katharine Calvet and Taylor Reid earned wins in singles and doubles play. The Crusaders won seven of nine matches. The full box score will be available at a later date.
 
Belmont Abbey is now 1-4 on the season.
 
UP NEXT

• The Crusaders head up to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday for two matches against host LMU and the University of Charleston.
• The matches are scheduled for a 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. start, respectively.
