ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The Belmont Abbey women's golf team opened up its spring season with the opening 36 holes of the LMU Spring Kickoff Monday at the Golf Club of South Hampton.
 
The Crusaders sit in 13th place after an opening day total of 652 with Paeton Phillippi leading the way with two rounds in the 70s with a 77 and 76. She is in a tie for 20th with four other golfers. Additionally, Ella Wiklander closed her day with a round of 77.  
 
Wingate leads the tournament after 36 holes with Jaycee Jenkins of Palm Beach Atlantic leading the way individually.
