ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — The Belmont Abbey women's golf team returned to the course for the second round of the St. Simons Intercollegiate Monday at the King and Prince Golf Club.
The Crusaders improved their team total by four shots from Sunday's opening round and sit in 15th place with a two-round total of 638.

Lilianna Carcel had the best round of the day for the Abbey with a 3-over par 75 while Ella Wiklander shot 78 to account for the other round in the 70s. Bethany Welch, Kellyn Arnold and Katie Cullen rounded out the five for Belmont Abbey with rounds of 81, 83 and 88, respectively.

Wingate leads the team standings with a one-under par team total while Flagler's Sofia Terzoli maintains the individual lead at 4-under par.
