TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Three golfers from the Belmont Abbey women's golf team finished in the top 15 as the Crusaders closed the regular season at the Cherokee Valley Spring Bash Tuesday.

Kyleigh Whittemore was the top finisher for the Abbey, finishing tied for 9th after finishing with a 163 (83-80). Paeton Phillippi was tied for 11th a shot back (84-80—164) while Bridget Forgatch was tied for 15th as she shot the low round of the day with a 77 for a two-day total of 165.

The two Crusader teams finished third and sixth, respectively, with scores of 656 (328-328) and 683 (349-334).

Belmont Abbey gets set to compete in the Conference Carolinas Tournament that begins Sunday at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
