GREENVILLE, S.C. — Ella Wiklander earned recognition from the Conference Carolinas office Thursday as she was named the Women's Golf Freshman of the Month by the league office.

Wiklander finished with three rounds in the 70s over the two tournaments she played in March including a 74 in the second round of the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate March 11th and 12th. She also had rounds of 76 and 75 in the Lady Bearcat Invitational March 25th and 26th. She finished tied for 36th in that tournament and was the top finisher in the tournament for the Abbey.

This is the first freshman of the month honor for Wiklander.

She and the rest of the Crusaders will compete in the Conference Carolinas Tournament beginning Sunday at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
