CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Seven Belmont Abbey Crusaders posted Conference Carolinas championship-qualifying standards and
Haley Kells broke her own school record in the heptathlon, highlighting the women's track and field team's Friday at the 49er Classic, hosted by UNC Charlotte.
The Abbey saw two steeplechase runners and two 400m hurdles earn automatic spots in the league championship next month. Meanwhile, Kells finished her two-day competition with 3,644 points, besting a score of 3,522 in the same meet last year.
