BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. — Belmont Abbey's
Kylie Brophy became the latest student-athlete to earn recognition from the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) as she was named the Specialist of the Week Wednesday by the organization.
Brophy was recognized after her efforts following the team's tri-meet against Francis Marion and Coker this past week.
It is the second straight week that a Crusader has earned the weekly honor after
Erena Chaples was recognized as Specialist of the Week last week.
Brophy, a junior base/tumbler from Fort Myers, Florida, competes in all three pyramid heats as the prime base. She helped the team earn scores of 9.7, 9.75, and 9.9 in the three respective heats. The three scores were 0.65 points away from a perfect score in relation to start value.
The full release from the NCATA can be found

Belmont Abbey is set to host its first home meet of the season against Limestone at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Wheeler Center.
